Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is right around the corner -- are you ready? I recently participated in a Valentine Card swap. We created 13 cards and shared them at a crop. I was unable to go to the crop, so the hostess RAKed them for me. I love to share!

Here is my card I created. I wanted to try something different with the heart border embossing folder and the Close To My Heart Cricut collections scalloped heart (Artiste Collection pg 71)-- I did use a stamp from my stash - Whoo's Your Valentine' which is no longer available.

I attached the Ruby scallop heart and the Blush center heart to the Colonial White piece, centered the heart border embossing folder about 1/2" from the top and a 1/4" from the bottom of the scallop heart. I loved it -- I matted this Colonial White piece onto a Blush and then Ruby mat and that piece was centered on a Colonial White card base.

The Happy Valentine's Day sentiment was stamped on a Colonial White scrap, flagged on each end and popped up with 3D Foam tape to the center of the heart.


A little embroidery floss was added as I felt the top was a little bare and then a bow and a little heart, yes fussy cut heart.

I like my envelopes to show there is something special in here, so I stamped hearts along one edge. And for the first time I used my Crafted With Love stamp set (B1399).
