Love is in the Air Heart2Heart Challenge

Love is in the air over at Heart2Heart Challenge blog and it is the 'B' team jumping into artistic gear, okay a little too much Later Sk8r for me, NOT.

Our theme is Love is in the Air. How would a little Later Sk8r My Reflections paper packet (X7167B) work with this theme -- I took out all the leftovers from February's projects (Three two page layouts, two interactive cards and one chalkboard technique card, six candy tubes, and twenty four card kits) and began to piece together a card.

I started with a White Daisy (1385) card base, added an Outdoor Denim (1275) cardstock piece with a matted Slate piece of cardstock. I pieced together four different patterns in random sizes. Using Frame Flair stamp set (D1546) and coordinating Art Philosphy Cricut shape (Z1686), I stamped a whimsical frame. Next using Girls Rock stamp set (C1538), I stamped one large flower, two small flowers, two leaves, and the word 'love' -- this is one of my favorite stamp sets. Again, lucky I have the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, making cutting the coordinating diecut images a breeze (you could be lucky, too, follow the link above Z1686 and pick up your own Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge Collection)

The word 'love' was stamped on the distressed Later Sk8r Lagoon pattern paper and again in the plaid pattern. Cutting both words out, I used the heart being used for the letter 'o' in plaid pieced it over the Lagoon pattern piece to add a little more whimsy to the word.

Taking the Baker's Twine Harvest Collection (Z1751), I used the Outdoor Denim Baker's Twine to add a little depth and texture. And I finished off the whole project with a green gem from the Later Sk8r Workshop on the Go (G1057) (the best CTMH buy) and finished this little 'blue' inspired Love is in the Air card.
